Booktoberfest is an annual fundraising event hosted by the Whittier Public Library Foundation and held at the Whittier Central Library. It features food and drink from local restaurants and breweries, live music, games, opportunity drawings, and a silent auction—designed as a fun, community-focused evening to support the library’s mission. This year, as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, Booktoberfest will honor the veterans who have served, and continue to serve, by designating 50% of the proceeds from our event to the Whittier Public Library’s Veterans Resource Center.
